http://www.moo0.com/software/ConnectionWatcher/#ConnectionWatcher
Windows NetStat is a great little Windows utility that makes it possible for you to monitor your network connections as they occur, but it is a mostly static utility (with the exception of using the 'interval' switch)...however, watching this information scroll past in a command window is a bit of a task!Moo0 software is a new (to me) software group that is putting out some good quality freeware - ConnectionWatcher is a Windows-based utility that allows you to quickly view, sort and kill various processes, while letting you see what and where your processes are connecting to by IP address.
You can look at the following information about your running processes:
- protocol
- state
- process id
- process name
- from host
- from port
- to host
- to port
- received
- sent
- duration
- process path
Now, with all that said, I will say that this doesn't yet exceed the features provided by SysInternals/Microsoft TCPView, which gives you the option to save your connection listings to a file, which is good for troubleshooting later on. If ConnectionWatcher could include this feature, they'd match the usefulness of TCPView (but will need to catch up with SysInternals reputation).
Give it a shot, I'm sure more quality releases are coming your way from Moo0 software!
