Here's yet another handy dandy utility that you can use to tweak some of the visual aspects of Vista, including the logon and boot screen. Not only can you adjust these, but you can tweak your default icon images, remove those arrows from shortcuts, and easily tweak your desktop icons.
Notably, however, is the ability to allow Vista to use alternative themes/visual styles by patching the uxtheme.dll file for you. Not that this is unheard of, but sometimes, its nice to have it all in one little utility.

i'm still on xp, but its good to know vista can be tweaked if i ever have to make the leap ( either that or ubuntu)
