We all know that we can use a tool like PDFCreator to convert a Word document (or any other printable file) to PDF. But, here is a tool that can help you convert that PDF back to a Word document for editing!
I've had a need to do this more than a few times, and I must say, I've never seen a simpler application.
As long as you have a PDF file with selectable text (not a complete scanned image), you should be able to convert the file to DOC format without trouble. Once converted, you can remove/add elements such as pictures, text and fields. This tool may come in handy if you have a Word-compatible Office application, but do not have a PDF Editing tool. Using this logic, you could use this as a cheeky way to edit PDFs (kinda): specify a PDF file, convert it to DOC, make your edits, then convert back to PDF again.
According to the author, PDF to Word Converter can convert formats "...PDF 1.0 - 1.6. That includes 95+% PDF files downloaded from the internet as my tests." Also, if you have overly complex PDF layouts, you might find that the format looks a little strange in Word, so keep that in mind.
So far, only English is supported, but the author is working on other languages.
Very handy, and very simple.

I tried this program recently and it worked fairly well but there were a few things that did not convert properly. Then I tried the free online conversion website Zamzar.com and it worked perfectly.
Took a 3 MB PDF and turned it into a 249 MB Word Doc. Thats huge! Other than that, it worked fine.
