There are some things about an operating that drive people nuts (what!?), so invariably, someone comes out with a utility to tweak it to cater to different individual's needs. With Windows, there used to be a great utility called 'TweakXP', but sadly, this isn't freeware any longer, so those of us who depended on the utility had to find something new.So...if you still want to tweak just about anything that is tweakable in Windows (well, within reason), you can do so again! Download Fresh Devices FreshUI and click away. Featuring a comprehensive list of tweaks and system edits that would make any control freak drool, FreshUI delivers.
Most of these tweaks can also be modified by using the built-in gpedit.msc or secpol.msc consoles, but FreshUI makes it much easier to do by listing them in easy to find categories.
When you browse the settings, the left pane features a collapsible/expandable tree with the various tweaks. The right pane features a 3-column view showing the option description, current setting, and for which operating systems these tweaks support.A word of warning, modifying these settings may produce undesirable results if you don't know what you are doing, so be careful! Also, you may be prompted to restart your computer, depending if the setting modifies something that occurs at startup.
